CricketMind ("we", "us", "our") is committed to being transparent about how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it plain — no legal jargon where we can avoid it.

1. Who We Are

CricketMind is an AI-powered cricket intelligence platform operated under the CricketMind trade name, based in Dallas, Texas. You can reach us at hello@cricketmind.ai.

2. What We Collect

Email address — collected only when you submit the waitlist or early access form on cricketmind.ai. This is the only personal information we actively collect.

Usage data (local only) — the app uses browser localStorage to track your daily usage of features (simulations, searches, rivalries, Fantasy XI). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

We do not collect:

• Your name (unless you provide it voluntarily)
• Payment information (no payments are processed yet)
• Location data
• Device fingerprints or tracking identifiers
• Any data from third-party social logins

3. How We Use Your Email

If you join our waitlist, we use your email to:

• Send you early access notifications when new features launch
• Notify you when Phase 2 (real data) goes live
• Send occasional product updates — maximum a few emails per month
• Respond to any support or feedback you send us

We do not use your email for advertising, and we do not share it with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. How We Store Your Email

Waitlist emails are stored securely. We use industry-standard measures to protect this data. We retain your email only for as long as you remain on the waitlist or as required by law.

5. localStorage and Browser Data

The CricketMind app stores the following in your browser's localStorage:

• cm_usage — a daily counter tracking how many simulations, searches, rivalries, and Fantasy XI requests you've made. This resets every day at midnight and is used only to enforce free-tier limits.

This data is stored entirely on your device. We cannot access it, read it, or transmit it. Clearing your browser data or using a private window resets it completely.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

CricketMind uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic Claude API — your queries (match scenarios, search questions, rivalry selections) are sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not send personally identifiable information with these queries.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel may log standard server access logs (IP address, request time, page accessed). See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
• Google Fonts — used for typography. Google may log font requests. No personal data is shared.

7. Children's Privacy

CricketMind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — ask us what data we hold about you
• Delete — request deletion of your email from our waitlist at any time
• Correct — ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Opt out — unsubscribe from all emails at any time

9. Data Retention

We retain waitlist emails until you request deletion or until 12 months after the waitlist closes, whichever comes first. You can request deletion at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves — particularly when payments launch or new data collection begins. We'll update the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, notify waitlist members by email.
